grazies spicy garlic chicken recipe
I made this today for lunch. I added some butter to the oil and garlic. Also, I used crushed red pepper.I had some colard green/white beans/peppers salad left over.My husband decided to mix everything together and came out really good.Only the garlic oil pasta tasted really good as well. This is a keeper. Thank you for your recipe.
I made this with chicken pieces from chicken breast meat. Also after pasta finished cooking I saved a cup of pasta water then drained the pasta put it back in the cooking pan and coated it with butter before putting it in the olive oil garlic crushed pepper. Totally awesome. Tyvm for the recipe!
In terms of overall spiciness, our spicy chicken curry provides more a simmering heat than a fiery punch. This is s spiciness that can be enjoyed by many. That said, you can easily adjust the heat up or down by adding/reducing the cayenne powder as you prefer.
Like curry? We have all sorts of other options in our spicy recipe index. If you want something a little sweeter, try our Jamaican chicken curry. Or you could go with a bigger, bolder meat with our Indian mutton curry recipe. Or how about turning common dishes up a notch with a little exotic flavor? Both curried potato soup and curried carrot soup are simply delicious.
What else can I add to this recipe? You can add your favorite vegetables (such as spinach, mushrooms, or onions) or meats (such as chicken, sausage, or shrimp) to this dish. Just be sure to cook them all before adding to the pasta.
This soup is sooo good! I altered the recipe and used what I had around the house. Instead of preparing the rice by boiling it from dried, I used 2 packs of Uncle Bens Microwave rice and 2 cans of canned chicken and added canned mushrooms. Then followed the rest of the recipe as called for using heavy whipping cream! Ez enough and O so good!!
Yes! I made a huge batch based on this recipe and froze it in smaller tupperwares. I would just reheat them on the stove for either soup (my spicy version) or spaghetti sauce and it was fantastic. I only confused the spicy and not spicy a few times lol. I made enough that it lasted about a year and it was still delicious.
This dish can be prepared with a whole chicken cut into pieces, but I often use chicken thighs, which are both inexpensive and full of flavor. For this recipe, I usually cook my chicken on the stovetop over low heat in a cast iron pan, but you could also use a roasting pan and bake the chicken in the oven if you prefer.
Made this the other night. Did the oven route because the timing that way was just going to work better for me. It was delicious and a big hit at our house. I used all bone in breast meat since we all prefer that. Served it with a little angelhair with garlic and olive oil. This was the first of your recipes that I have tired. (Recently discovered your site.) I am looking forward to trying more!
Love, love your website and have referenced in often for several years ! Especially love this recipe and the recipes for chicken thighs stuffed and rolled with the parmesan cheese bread crumb mixture and then braised in the tomato sauce!! Thank you for your beautiful and wonderful website ?

I made this pretty much following the recipe except I added bChopped mushrooms and more onions to the chicken plus a dash or two of cayenne pepper. Must have worked as the plates were all but licked clean. I will definitely be using this recipe again! I also made my own tomato sauce, which I admit, is pretty darned good ?. Thank you for sharing!!
Perfect! My favorite store-bought BBQ sauce is no longer available so I tried this. Far better than the store-bought! I made it exactly as the recipe described, just upped the cayenne pepper and tobasco a smidge since i like a lot of heat. Just what i wanted for BBQ chicken. I just mixed the ingredients and did not warm on the stove. I always boil my chicken leg/thigh quarters for about 30 minutes before I put them on the grill with the BBQ sauce. Slather the sauce on each side a couple of times while flipping to get a nice crust on the chicken. I like to serve with carolina yellow rice or rice-a-roni chicken flavor, along with a fresh green salad.
This recipe is fantastic. I love the spicy BBQ sauce at my favorite BBQ place in Luther, IA (pop. 181). This recipe is very close. Sent it to my brother who loves to smoke too and he gave it the same stellar approval. GREAT RECIPE!!
Way too much ketchup. It ended up tasting like spicy/sweet ketchup. I ended up doubling all the other ingredients, added some lime juice and chili powder, which helped. Not the best recipe unfortunately. ?
This is my second time making this we loved it the first time so making again, added chicken just to make it higher protein little extra garlic as we love garlic and instead of butter for my mushrooms, I used just a little tuscan olive oil. So good and the flavor is amazing! Thanks for the recipe!
In a bowl, mix 3 tbsp of mustard, 2 tbsp of olive oil and 1/2 tsp salt. Place chicken in a roasting pan. Spread the mustard marinade all over the chicken including the cavity. Place one garlic clove in each chicken and a 2-3 small sprigs of thyme. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Halfway in cooking time, pour some of the dripping on the chicken. Repeat if necessary. Bake for 35-40 minutes for a coquelet (spring chicken) or 1 hour-1 hour and a half if you are using a larger chicken. 2ff7e9595c
