Excel 2013 Shortcut List: The Best Way to Improve Your Efficiency and Accuracy in Excel



In Office 2013 and Office 2010, most of the old Alt key menu shortcuts still work, too. However, you need to know the full shortcut. For example, press Alt, and then press one of the old menu keys, for example, E (Edit), V (View), I (Insert), and so on. A notification pops up saying you're using an access key from an earlier version of Microsoft 365. If you know the entire key sequence, go ahead, and use it. If you don't know the sequence, press Esc and use Key Tips instead.


Hi , Am working before in 2013 excel in that am able to use Filter Shortcut Filter dropdown key (ctl+shift +l) for Filter drop down (Alt+down arrow).But Now am using Excel 2019 in this for filter (ctrl + shift+ l) it is working but Filter drop down shortcut key is not working can you please help what is the shortcut key.

Small fix: In Excel 2013 Shortcuts, Section 8 (Applying Borders), the second to last shortcut (Outside Borders) has an 'A' where it should have an 'S'. The note to the right explaining the shortcut correctly highlights the 'S'.


The below keyboard shortcut for switching among non-adjacent selections:'Ctrl+Alt+Arrow Right/Ctrl+Alt+Arrow Left' - Move to the right / to the left between non-adjacent selections (with multiple ranges selected)It works great in my Excel 2010; while it is no longer available in my Excel 2013.May ask is there any fix on it or has it been removed from Excel 2013 (which I found is very useful)Thanks a lot!


I recommend saving the shortcut list in .pdf format. Click the Macabacus > Settings > Keyboard > Print button to open a new workbook containing a list of all Macabacus shortcut keystrokes that can be printed for convenient reference. You can reformat the list or sort shortcuts by name, keystroke, or utility before printing.

Nice list of shortcuts. It's good to be reminded of the old Alt + menu key shortcuts (I just wish more of them still worked in XL 2007). Although the list is great, an Excel table would be much, much better!
